Akron, OH. - August 11, 2009
-- Apteryx, Inc., a custom software development company headquartered in Akron, Ohio, released a free update today to all Apteryx Imaging users that integrates major Kodak Dental Systems hardware with their retail installations. Previously, only United States Department of Defense affiliated organizations were permitted to integrate to Kodak hardware.
“I’m thrilled that Kodak has agreed to allow all of our users to access the Kodak RVG Intraoral sensors as well as the rest of their hardware products,” confirmed Kevin Crucs, Apteryx President.
Before today’s update, Apteryx’s Kodak integration was only allowed for government and institutional use. General dentists were originally asked to contact their Kodak representatives on a case-by-case basis. Apteryx’s arrangement now allows everyone to instantly integrate Kodak hardware into their office.
The free update is available to all DCV, XrayVision® and XVlite™ users. It is available on the Apteryx Imaging Update site, under Sensor & Imaging Device Updates.
